Ron Hocutt has been immersed in the insurance ecosystem since 1993, bringing together deep technology expertise, agency ownership experience, and a relentless focus on real-world value.
With degrees in computer science and an MBA, Ron began his career on the cutting edge of electronic publishing for major insurance carriers before moving into a leadership role at AMS/Vertafore in 2003. He later spent 17 years as an independent agency owner, giving him firsthand insight into the operational, financial, and strategic challenges agency leaders face every day.
Ron is an adjunct faculty member for the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance, teaching agency management within the CIC program. He's passionate about education, thoughtful use of technology, and helping agencies cut through complexity to focus on what truly creates value.
His guiding question in any initiative is simple: So what? If it doesn't improve outcomes for people, it's not worth doing.
